This is a Cancel researth centre and Hospital. The Hospital has 170 Beds, two basements, Ground + 13 upper floors. This Hospital was constructed after demolision of existing Cancel researth centre which was age old structure and service were shared between this old researth centre and existing fully functional hospital block. The major challenge in the project was to demlish the existing structure and construct new and modern hospital and at the same time making all necessary provisions, temporary arrangements for the existing fully functional hospital before and while constructing the new hosptial building. Even one side of the elevations of the existing hospital block was made one side of the grand atrium of the new hospital, so the elevation treatment of the existing hospital was a major task by removing all exising window ac to vrv ac and then do the elevation treatment by the architect. Working in an existing and surrounding buildings atmosphere is always challenging and all services to be planned in a meticulous way and architecture was to be seamlessly to be done by architecture which was very nicely done by architect Hafeez Contractor and structure was a major challenge which was neatly done by Sterling Engg consultanst. The end project came out very well and the Hopital was opened by Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, the then President of India.
